Lee studied quartz crystals with Marcel Vogel, who was internationally acknowledged as the leading authority on crystal technology. Marcel developed the red hue now used in televisions, fluorescent paint, magnetic coating for computer hard disks(still in use by IBM today) and the liquid crystal display now used in most digital watches and clocks. After founding psychic research Inc., Vogel was awarded over 100 patents many labeled "metaphysical" in nature.
